"Vincent is a box player from Rossport in Co. Mayo and is the nephew of John McGrath, well known in New York from the 1920's to the 1950's.. He has produced an album of new compositions, all of them by himself, on the two-row accordion. Incredibly they sound as if they have been refined and worn by generations of tradition. They're old-fashioned tunes, with polkas and flings, and they're played with an old-fashioned swing. Accompaniment is on restrained guitar, piano and double bass, and it's great music. A true original"
